The pool is closed, February 6-7, all day, for a swim meet.  Orange Town Pool members may use the Woodbridge Town Pool.  The pool in Woodbridge is open from 12:00pm - 4:00pm, Saturday and Sunday.  Remember to bring your membership cards. 

The Nice Rink at High Plains Community Center, Wright's Pond and the pond at Old Tavern park, are NOT open at this time.

Winter Land-based Registration  Dates

Residents - Monday, December 7

Non-residents - Monday, December 14

Enrollment will continue in all classes until they are full or
until the class has started. Late enrollments may be
allowed but are not pro-rated.

                     
 Current Closings / Cancellations:

 Any weather related closing will be posted on this Website.  If the Orange schools are closed for any reason, any activity scheduled in those buildings will automatically be canceled.

Activities at High Plains will be canceled at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Department.  Please check before leaving for a class.
 
REMINDER:
The Parks and Recreation department does not cancel games at Old Tavern Park unless the fields are deemed unplayable.  Please go to www.orangelittleleague.com after 2pm for cancellations.
 
The Parks and Recreation Department does not cancel Orange Soccer Association games scheduled for Sundays.  Please contact them for any questions or concerns about play.
 

Swim Lesson Credits:

Credits may be used, at any time, for another swim lesson registration.

February Vacation Camp
Kindergarten through 5th grade

Registration begins on January 4th

Vacation Camp is available during the
Orange school vacations. Campers will
participate in a variety of activities;
arts and crafts, outdoor games, swimming,
ice skating (weather permitting), gym games
and field trips to area locations and activities.

Early stay, from 7:30am-9:00am, and  late stay,
from 4:00pm-5:30pm, is available for $6.00 per
child, per time slot.There is NO bus transportation
for the vacation camps. Children must bring a lunch
and snacks everyday, unless notified by the counselors.
Campers should bring a bathing suit and towel to camp
every day. Children will be tested on the first day of
camp and those that cannot swim a full length of the
pool will wear lifejackets during free swim.
Campers should not bring anything of value to camp;
cameras, ipods, hand-held video games. Orange Park
and Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Campers are grouped by current grade/age. 
Medications cannot be administered by Camp Staff.

THE VACATION CAMPS HAVE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT
REQUIREMENTS.  PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE
IF YOUR CHILD NEEDS CAMP FOR DAYCARE.  WE CAN NOT EXTEND
THE MAXIMUM ALLOWANCES.

NEW MEMBERSHIP CARDS FOR THE FITNESS CENTER AND POOL ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON AUGUST 15.  ALL MEMBERS MUST HAVE VALID CARDS BY SEPTEMBER 1.
UPDATED FITNESS CENTER FORMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP AT THIS TIME. 
 
Membership cards for

The Orange Parks and Recreation Department has two "unlimited use" memberships available for purchase; a Pool membership and a Fitness Room membership.
 
-Memberships may be purchased in the Park and Recreation Office from 8:30am-6:00pm, 
Monday - Friday.
-Proof of residency is required for residents (i.e. -license, tax bill).  A photo of each person receiving a pass is needed at the time of registration.
-Senior (65 years or over) memberships are free to Orange residents but must be renewed annually at the Parks and Recreation office. Proof of age is required.
-Memberships are valid from date of purchase until the end of August 2008.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Park and Recreation Department is to maintain designated parklands in the Town and to provide a comprehensive array of high quality recreation and athletic programs on a year-round basis. The target population includes all residents of the Town, non-residents with more than $1000 of assessable property in Town, and non-residents who are full-time employees of Orange based employers.
